OneRichmond is delighted to have the support of local founding partners, Hampton Fund and Richmond Foundation which enables us to respond to local need.

We exist because our research found that Richmond is seen as a wealthy borough, which masks the levels of actual hidden deprivation and disadvantage experienced by so many within our community.

These findings directly impact the levels of investment and funding coming into the borough to tackle these needs, creating even greater divide and extensive unmet need.

Over the past 18 months, we have been working hard to get OneRichmond established so that we can start to improve the funding landscape and the lives and opportunities of those most at risk.

We have taken time to speak directly with local and national experts, including those at the forefront of supporting our community to look at where best we can help with the most pressing need affecting local lives.

Informed by this, our priority theme will be unpaid carers, where we will support, champion, and amplify the voices of all those working to support them across our borough.

Three in five of us will be carers at some point in our lives, looking after a loved one who has a disability, a mental or physical illness, or who needs extra help as they grow older. These responsibilities affect people of all ages and backgrounds and are often emotionally and physically challenging. Across Richmond, 1 in 10 people are known to provide unpaid care – though the true figure could be twice as high.

We want to connect and mobilise our community for the greater good. Our vision is to revive the spirit of local philanthropy, unlock new funding and enable real change, together, right on our doorstep.

‘We’re looking forward to sharing OneRichmond and working with you, our community, to help tackle inequality and achieve positive impact on the lives of local residents.’
Rebecca McLoughlin, Director, OneRichmond.
