Overview
Unlocking opportunities through education
We offer Education Catalyst grants to help residents in our benefit area to further their learning and career development.
Our Education Catalyst grants support individuals to gain additional qualifications or specialised training to enhance their employment prospects and open doors to new opportunities.
Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions for further help.

How we assess your application
To apply for our Education Catalyst grants, the following criteria must be met:
- Applicants must be individuals, schools, or organisations located in or serving the postcodes of our benefit areas: TW9, TW10, SW13, and SW14
- We prioritise applications from individuals facing additional barriers to study, training and employment, such as: single parents, carers, or living with a disability.
- We also support staff in the voluntary sector and schools seeking courses that benefit both their personal development and their employer’s work
- Grants must be used towards: course fees, equipment, childcare, travel expenses or other expenses related to the course
- Applicants must demonstrate an inability to afford the full cost of the course or related expenses
- Applicants must have researched and exhausted all available student finance options before applying
- We do not typically offer grants for post-graduate studies or additional degrees. An exception may be made for those working in the voluntary and community sector who are seeking to upskill to meet a specific sector need.
When to Apply
Our Grants Committee meets quarterly in March, June, September, and December to review applications. Please make sure to submit your application by the deadline provided. We’ll notify you of the outcome within five working days after the Grants Committee meeting.
